Guess what? There's no plans for a PSP2 right now either cause it's selling well and has an install base of 41 million with solid software support, both 1st and 3rd party exclusive, hitting in 2009. Guess that's a bad thing right?

Not gonna disagree that the media had a lot to do with both company's failure. I mean, the IGN laugh at the instruction book Sony sent out for Lair was totally over the top and uncalled for.
HOWEVER, just know that I actually played the majority of both games and my opinion is actually based on a play through. I didn't just buy into the media's negativity, just like I actually played The Last Remnant to be able to deem it crap.

That's Free Radical AND Factor 5, both companies flopped on the PS3, not only in sales, but in quality.

With Haze, it was a disaster, everything from visuals, to the pacing that is NOT for online co-op. THe story was lame, the shooting bland and the online boring.

They're actually alright. I like the feel of the anime/green-haired fellow's name to distinguish his race. Edge Maverick is a fun, cliche lead name, but others, like Meracle and Bacchus D-79 (I hope I got that) are fine. MUCH better than Lightning, Snow and Vanilla.

It's hard to gather enough confidence to even think to vote faith in Square, isn't Colbert? I too am hyped for this, but I have a feeling it's going to underwhelm.
Long time (20 yrs or so now I think) Square fan, who now hates Square. The Japanese EA? Good summary. I hope Level 5 really got White Knight to the level of AAA, God-status that it has the potential to be. If it did, Level 5's recent performance may put it beyond Square.
Still, for RPGs in general (all forms), Bethesda and BioWare FTW!
